Our Story

Shepherd Bible Church is a church plant sent by Eden Baptist Church in Burnsville, MN. Driven by the Lord’s command to “make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19), Eden Baptist has consistently sought to obey this command through the multiplication of local churches in areas in need of a gospel witness.

Justin Feland and his wife Suzanne arrived at Eden Baptist in 2021 with little idea of what would transpire. After finishing his Master’s of Theology while participating in Eden’s Student Pastor program, Justin came on staff at Eden in 2023 as a pastoral intern. In 2024, after a season of prayer, discussion, and teaching, Eden Baptist Church identified Justin to lead its next church planting endeavor. Over the course of a year, Justin, alongside the elders of Eden Baptist Church, labored in prayer and teaching to gather a group of members within Eden to send out and plant a new church.

The Lord graciously gathered a group of about 30 people from Eden to form this new church and has led them to put down roots in Rosemount, MN. Rosemount is a strategic location, rapidly growing in building and population in an area with relatively few healthy local churches. Eden continues to support us through prayer, mentoring, and financial gifts.

Shepherd Bible Church desires nothing more than to please the Lord by being a healthy local church. We are excited for what the Lord has in store.
